About the Event

The Palestinian identity is a stigmatized identity, one constantly reinforced by racist assumptions, and all Palestinians live with a constant threat of being silenced, excluded, defamed and erased.


It is what Dr Zahira Jaser calls ‘the manifestation of the Nakba in this country’, which is why it is necessary for those of us who stand in solidarity with Palestinians to recognize anti Palestinian racism (APR) in all its many forms and call it out.


We are honored to be jointly hosting this meeting with the Hastings & District Palestine Solidarity Campaign, welcoming Dr Zahira Jaser from the University of Sussex on 22 February to the White Rock Hotel for this illuminating talk, followed by a Q&A.


Associate Professor Dr Jaser recently published a paper on the key dimensions of APR in societies and organizations and is herself of Palestinian heritage.
