About the Event
On Jewish New Year for Trees (Tu Bishvat) we are hosting a community seed swap.
Seed Swaps are a great way to share spare seeds within our local community.
Everyone is welcome to bring and take seeds, as well as plants and gardening books, for the coming planting season. Entrance is free and people without seeds or plants to share may take seeds for a donation, which will go to the Hastings Friends of Al Mawasi group raising funds for our twinned town of Al Mawasi in Gaza.
We will also be sharing information about the impact on the environment and Palestinian communities of Israel's colonisation, occupation and genocide as part of an exhibitition. There will be tea and coffee available and many of our group will be present to share ideas and discuss how we in the diaspora can best respond to the ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestine.
